Q: How much Propane will I use?
A: Actually very little. The exact amount of Propane used depends on many factors, such as: Size of engine, engine (vehicle) application, and driver habits. Typically, The Diesel Magnum injects 15% to 25% per the amount of "Diesel Used". Note: "Diesel Used" represents the amount of Diesel used after the savings experienced with The Diesel Magnum. Example: A typical OTR tractor gets 1000 miles using 143 gallons of Diesel. The same tractor utilizing The Diesel Magnum will now get 1000 miles using 105 gallons of Diesel. The amount of Propane used in this situation would be 15% to 25% of that 105 gallons of Diesel. |

Q: Where do I get Propane?
A: Consolidated Energy Services L.L.C. offers Propane filling "on site" in the Detroit Metropolitan Area. As part of our customer service, we will work with your fleet operations to establish a delivery schedule that fits your needs. We will send out a Propane Bobtail and fill your Propane tanks right in your yard. If your operations make it necessary to refill your Propane tanks on the road, our staff will work with your fleet operations to establish "route based" refueling stops. Whatever your needs warrant, we will ensure all your Propane requirements are met! |

Q: What if something goes wrong with The Diesel Magnum?
A: The Diesel Magnum is a "stand alone" system that does not interface with your engine control system or any OEM systems on your engine. In the rare event something should go wrong with The Diesel Magnum, The Diesel Magnum will immediately shutdown and the engine will continue to operate as if there was never a Diesel Magnum System installed. (Of course, you won’t experience the savings). |
Q: What happens if I run out of Propane?
A: Nothing. If you’re in a truck, you keep driving. If you’re operating an excavator, you keep excavating. If The Diesel Magnum runs out of Propane on a stationary generator application, you keep generating. Point: The Diesel Magnum does not interfere with the OEM systems equipped on your engine. As stated above: If you run out of Propane, you will not experience the savings. |
Q: How often do I have to refill the Propane tank?
A: We understand the old saying "time is money" and you do not want to waste your time continuously filling up additional fuel tanks. During the installation of The Diesel Magnum, we aim to install a Propane tank that will contain enough Propane to last nearly TWO fill-ups of your regular Diesel tanks. In addition to our standard procedures regarding installation, we have other options available to fit virtually any situation. |

Q: How safe is The Diesel Magnum System?
A: Bulletproof! Ok, The Diesel Magnum is not actually "bulletproof", but the main control center is encased in a "MIL spec" machined aluminum enclosure. This enclosure (sometimes referred to as the "bull’s-eye") is designed to withstand the harsh environment typically found in an engine compartment. The "Bull’s-eye" hard anodized aluminum enclosure withstands the dust, dirt, heat, and vibration while keeping the internal components protected. All the components in The Diesel Magnum are UL approved, automotive grade and SAE tested and certified for automotive use. System safety features of The Diesel Magnum System include:
- EGT high limit shutdown
- Microprocessor controlled
- Main Propane shut-off
- Over boost Propane shutoff
- Auto Diesel reversion
The Propane tanks we install are either D.O.T. /A.S.M.E. spec. and include the following industry standard safety features:
- Pressure relief valve
- Free flow prevention valve
- Overfill protection device

Q: Does The Diesel Magnum System void my engine manufacturer’s warranty?
A: Absolutely not. The installation of aftermarket products does not void engine manufacturer’s warranties. We have documentation from the major engine manufacturers regarding their position on aftermarket products. |
Q: I heard your system gives your Diesel engine more power. Is this extra power going to damage my drivetrain?
A: There are many factors involved in drivetrain longevity. It has been found that maintenance and driver habits are the most important factors in determining drivetrain service life. IN FACT: The Diesel Magnum can increase the service life of your drivetrain be eliminating unnecessary downshifts. |
Q: How come the major truck companies aren’t doing this?
A: The Patent for the technology that makes The Diesel Magnum a safe, effective, and viable system for significantly increasing efficiency and decreasing harmful emissions was courted by a major engine manufacturer when it was still in the R&D phase. It is common knowledge that the current push in the truck industry is for emissions reduction. The industry is using all available technology to meet current and future emissions requirements. |
Q: Will The Diesel Magnum work on my truck?
A: The Diesel Magnum can be utilized on ANY turbo Diesel engine, including stationary, marine, and locomotive. |
Q: What does The Diesel Magnum System do for emissions?
A: By utilizing Propane in the fresh air intake of the engine, your engine experiences a cleaner, more complete burn of Diesel in the cylinder. The Diesel Magnum has been tested in-house with the industry standard equipment manufactured by Red Mountain Engineering. This equipment is currently used by emissions test facilities and law enforcement nationwide in the USA. The results showed an average reduction of 40% in overall particulate emissions. Advanced emissions testing and research are scheduled for 2008. (EPA and CARB certification). |
Q: What about the emissions control system on my truck?
A: The Diesel Magnum does not interfere with the OEM emissions control system of your engine/vehicle. There are no modifications to the OEM system. IN FACT, with the addition of clean burning (you cook with it) Propane, The Diesel Magnum has been shown to extend the life of OEM emissions control systems by outputting a cleaner exhaust thru the OEM system. |
Q: How much does The Diesel Magnum System cost?
A: The Diesel Magnum significantly increases the efficiency of Diesel Engines. OTR tractors can expect to realize a 20% to 45% increase in Miles Per gallon (MPG). With this kind of increase in MPG, you can expect to reduce your overall fuel expense by a third. The cost of the Diesel Magnum System is comprised of:
- The actual Diesel Magnum
- Special liquid draw Propane tank
- Professional factory licensed/certified installation
